  • Yes please! Appointments can be made easily through our online booking system, or by calling our boutique directly. Occasionally, we may accept walk-in appointments, but these are subject to availability and only possible when no other fittings are scheduled.

  • We ask that you please limit your guests to no more than 3-4 people. Our boutique has limited seating for guests, especially on weekends when we are extremely busy.

    If you have a bigger group, please phone the store directly to discuss alternative options.

  • At Miss Bella Bridal, we respect and protect the Copyright and Intellectual Property of our Designers and their beautiful creations.
    To honour this, photography of gowns you are adoring and want to remember, are permitted, but videography is not.

    You may also video call guests during your appointment if they’re unable to join you in person.

  • No! We are not here to pressure you into making a decison, we are here to help guide you into making a choice that’s going to make you fel beautiful and confident! If you need time to sleep on it and decide, no problem! We are always a phone call away, and we will follow up with you a little while after your appointment to see how you’re feeling and answer any questions you may have.

  • We recommend only starting your bridal journey about 12 months out from your wedding date. A dress takes about 6-8 months to arrive from day of purchased, and your alterations will take around 2 months. Meaning 12 months out is plenty of time.

    If you want to shop more than 12 months out? That’s fine, but do keep in mind that if you aren’t ready to make a choice, you may lose the chance to order your dress when you do make a decision. Dresses discontinue! As collection seasons pass, older dresses get discontinued from production and are unable to be ordered again.

  • We don’t recommend trying on dresses without having a confirmed date. It’s difficult for our stylists to help you find a dress if we don’t know what timeframe we’re working with! Some dresses aren’t able to be ordered within an 8 month period!

    Off the rack pieces and rush orders are available, but can occur additional fees.

FAQs - Purchasing/Ordering

  • Bridal Gowns:
    Our standard ordering timeframe for wedding gowns is 20–24 weeks, with an additional 8 weeks for professional alterations to ensure a perfect fit.

    Debutante Gowns:
    The standard ordering time for debutante gowns is 8–10 weeks, plus 8 weeks for alterations.

    Bridesmaid Dresses:
    For bridesmaid dresses, the typical ordering timeframe is 16–18 weeks, with an additional 8 weeks for alterations.

    Rush Orders:
    In some cases, a rush order may be possible for certain gowns, with an additional fee.

    Seasonal Considerations:
    Please note that as we approach Chinese New Year, production and delivery may be affected. Allow an extra 2–4 weeks when planning your gown order.

    If your event is sooner than these timeframes, please contact us. We have a wide selection of off-the-rack bridal, debutante, and bridesmaid gowns available for immediate purchase.

  • We will take your bust, waist and hip measurement and then match you to your closest size via the size chart provided by our designers. In most cases, alterations are required to fit the body perfectly.

  • Made-to-Order Gowns (POA):
    Any of our products listed as POA (Price on Application) are made-to-order and cannot be purchased online. If you wish to proceed with a purchase but are unable to visit us in-store, please contact us to discuss your requirements, including size, budget, and timeline. Once everything aligns, we can process your order through the store and arrange shipping as soon as your gown arrives, with an additional fee.

    Clearance Stock:
    All of our clearance gowns are available for online purchase and shipping directly through our shopping cart. Please ensure you select the correct shipping method when placing your order, as incorrect selections may result in cancellation.

  • Absolutely not! We have a registry for each school/event and will not sell the same gown to another debutante attending the same night.

  • Unfortunately we do not. However we do have a lovely range of ex-sample gowns that are available at a discounted price.

  • No, we do not. Wedding and deb gowns need alterations specific to the person wearing the gown to ensure a perfect fit. We do have gowns available to purchase off-the-rack, many at discounted prices.

FAQs - Alterations

  • Miss Bella Bridal is one of only a few bridal boutiques in Melbourne offering on-site wedding dress alterations. Our experienced team of professional bridal dressmakers ensures every gown is fitted to perfection, so you look and feel incredible on your special day.

    We recommend booking your first bridal alterations appointment around 8 weeks before your wedding. Alterations are often completed in stages and may require multiple fittings for the perfect result. Please bring your wedding shoes and any bridal undergarments you plan to wear on the day to your first fitting.

    If you prefer, you are also welcome to arrange your wedding dress alterations with an external seamstress.

  • The number of wedding dress alterations required varies for each bride, depending on your gown and individual fit. Because of this, alteration costs are quoted separately, on top of the price of your gown.

  • Yes please! All alteration appointments are required to be booked directly through the store via phone or email as our seamstresses are not always available and can only service one appointment at a given time. Walk ins are not accepted.

  • For your first fitting, please bring the shoes you plan to wear and any specific underwear or shapewear. During the appointment, we will dress you in your gown, and one of our talented bridal seamstresses will guide you through the alterations required, pinning the gown where necessary.

    We will then schedule your next fitting. The time needed to complete your alterations depends on the amount of work required and how far away your event is.

  • Your gown is ordered based on the measurements taken at the time of purchase. As these are made-to-order gowns, no size changes can be made once your order has been processed.

    However, we understand that weight fluctuations can occur. During your alterations appointments, our skilled seamstresses can discuss possible adjustments—taking the gown in or letting it out—to ensure a perfect fit.

    If you are planning any weight loss before your event, please let us know at your try-on appointment, so we can factor this in and discuss options before your gown is ordered.

  • A lot of our deb styles come with straps, however if you fall in love with a style that is strapless, we can add straps of your liking in alterations.

  • Yes we can, this is however subject to availability as we prioritise our in-house clients first, particularly during peak season. Please call the Brunswick store to discuss your needs and book an alterations consultation.
