FAQ

  • Majority of our gowns are only stocked at one location; Boronia or Brunswick. Some gowns we have in both stores.

If you are travelling to retry your favourite gown, or have a very specific style in mind, please phone the store directly to confirm gown’s location before making your appointment.

  • Yes please! Appointments can me made via our online booking system, or by phoning our Brunswick or Boronia store directly. Occasionally we can accept walk-ins, but only if there are no other scheduled appointments at that time.

  • No, we do not. Wedding and deb gowns need alterations specific to the person wearing the gown to ensure a perfect fit. We do have gowns available to purchase off-the-rack, many at discounted prices.

  • No. The amount of alterations differs for each person, and therefore is quoted on top of the cost of your gown.

  • For your first fitting, ideally, we would like to see you 8 weeks before your event! You will need to bring your shoes that you’re planning on wearing, and any specific underwear or shapewear. We will dress you in your gown, and then one of our talented seamstresses will talk you through the alterations required and pin the gown where needed. We will then book you in for your next fitting – the time needed to alter the gown will depend on how much work needs doing and how far away your event is.

  • No, we won’t! We have a register for each school and will not sell the same gown to someone else from your school.

  • A lot of our deb styles come with straps, however if you fall in love with a style that is strapless, we can add straps of your liking in alterations.

  • We protect the Copyright and Intellectual Property of our Designers and their gorgeous creations. Once you have purchased your gown, you may take as many photos as you like. You are also welcome to video call guests during your appointment that may not be able to join you in person.

  • We recommend allowing a minimum of 6-8 months for orders. A ‘rush order’ may be possible for some gowns with an additional fee. Please contact us if your event is closer, as we have many options available to purchase off-the-rack.

  • We will take your bust, waist and hip measurement and then match you to your closest size via the size chart provided by the designer. In most cases, alterations are required to fit the body perfectly.

  • Your gown has been ordered according to your measurements taken at the time of ordering. Continue to maintain and stabilize your figure once your gown has been ordered, as no changes can be made to the gown once it has begun production. However, we do understand weight fluctuations and during your alterations appointment we can discuss possible alterations to the gown (either taking it in or out) to ensure a perfect fit.

If you are considering weight loss before your event, please let us know during your try-on appointment so we can discuss options and factor this in before ordering your gown.

  • Miss Bella is one of a small handful of Bridal Boutiques in Melbourne who perform all alterations on the premises, by a team of extremely talented bridal dressmakers.

We would like to see you for your first alterations appointment approximately 8 weeks before your event. Your alterations may be completed in stages and may require multiple fittings. You will need to bring your shoes, and any specific undergarments you are planning to wear, to your first alterations appointment.

Please note that alterations costs are an additional fee, as alterations are different for each gown and each person.

You are also welcome to have your alterations done elsewhere.

  • Yes! Please call either the Brunswick or Boronia store to make an alterations appointment.

  • No.

  • Miss Bella offers a laundering service in-house! Please feel free to bring it in and we can have it cleaned. We also have a range of before/after photos of gowns we have cleaned in the past for you to view on request.

  • We ask that you please bring no more than 2 guests with you. Both our Boronia and Brunswick boutiques are small, and have limited seating for guests, especially on a Saturday when we are extremely busy.

If you have a bigger group, please phone the store directly to discuss coming in for a mid-week appointment when the boutique is typically quieter.

  • If there is a specific gown you are interested in, please contact us to discuss getting the gown in time for your event. Before ordering, we will need a bust, waist and hip measurement to establish your correct size. As soon as the gown arrives, we can ship it to you for an additional shipping fee.
